Summary |
Dr. Beverly will initially assist CISE/OAC in the Networking and Cybersecurity programs, leveraging his considerable expertise in networking, cybersecurity, and integrated CI systems. The work will include identifying mechanisms and opportunities for cross-fertilization with other OAC programs (high performance computing, data, software, and learning/workforce development) will also be encouraged. Dr. Beverly will work primarily with current program directors and associated NSF-wide working groups. Dr. Beverly will have principal responsibility for the Cybersecurity for Cyberinfrastructure (CICI) program and will additionally participate in the NSF-wide Secure and Trustworthy Cyberspace (SaTC) program. He may also take on assignments in the Campus Cyberinfrastructure (CC*) and Cyberinfrastructure for Sustained Scientific Infrastructure (CSSI) programs and participate in other working groups organized around cybersecurity and secure cyberinfrastructure systems and services. These opportunities will be based on evolving needs as OAC continues to develop a vision of integrated advanced research cyberinfrastructure. Dr. Beverly's extensive experience in federal service, academe, and the private sector, coupled with his distinguished record of publication, teaching, and service, and his standing in the research community, will provide benefit to OAC's mission and the Foundation more broadly. |
