Summary Current military simulations do not have adequate support for allowing simulated forces to respond to new information that becomes available during the course of a run. In real operations, it is very normal for very significant information, such as details of terrain or actual positions of enemy forces, to be acquired only during the actual operation. Real Soldiers adapt their plans to such circumstances; simulated ones should too. The goal of the proposed work is to significantly improve the state of the art by providing means for simulated forces to dynamically plan routes and otherwise adjust their planned course of action during the course of a simulation run.
