CRUSER will continue to build upon existing infrastructure and ongoing activities involving research in robotics and unmanned systems. These active programs will continue to be major partners in CRUSER research endeavors. The strong interdisciplinary approach of the Consortium is supported by active interest in the Operations Research, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Information and Computer Sciences, Systems Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Space Systems, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Oceanography, Meteorology, Defense Analysis, Applied Mathematics, Undersea Warfare, and Business Administration Departments at the Naval Postgraduate School. Externally, CRUSER will continue to leverage the Naval Postgraduate School’s substantial experience in building collaborative communities to create a dynamic learning environment that engages fleet operators, government experts, industry leaders and academic researchers around the naval unmanned systems challenges.
This proposal covers the operation of CRUSER, individual local proposals will be submitted that may involve Expert Control, IRB, etc. and such controls will be invoked as part of the review of those individual proposals.
Equipment purchases will be incorporated into existing labs and will not require any additional long-term maintenance cost.
