Summary | This event supports delivery of the Global Peace Operations Initiative (GPOI) program UNSOC to members of the Japanese Self Defense Forces and a select number of international military officers. The participants will be approximately 24-30 mid-career international military officers, who will vary in rank from Captain (O-3) to Lieutenant Colonel (O-5). Accepted candidates will come from either standing lists of military officers nationally selected to serve as UN staff officers in various UN field missions, instructors of the Japanese national peacekeeping training center, or General Staff officers involved with curricula or national peacekeeping policy development. |
