Summary | The Naval Postgraduate School Acquisition Research Program (ARP) focuses on the research component of acquisition topics applicable to all career fields that are used to increase the knowledge of the Acquisition Workforce. Students and faculty perform research for the ARP on topics provided by sponsors (SYSCOMs and PEOs) that gives meaning to their academic slate and at the same time engages them in research on the acquisition challenges of the day. The ARP also hosts the annual acquisition research symposium to provide a forum for the presentation of scholarly acquisition research and dialogue between scholars, acquisition policymakers, students and practitioners. Research papers and presentations are given on recently completed and on-going DON/DOD-sponsored projects conducted by researchers and students at NPS and a variety of research institutions. Through critical thinking and research on defense acquisition topics, ARP provides a major source of analytical capability for the DON/DOD. |
