Summary |
This project advances acoustic communications technology and protocols for attaining through-water interoperability amongst coalition maritime assets. Specific goals include: - Ensure that exfiltration and C2 requirements of Seaweb-enables systems are addressed in the emerging IOPv2 standard. - Ensure that the IOPv2 standard is consistent with the constraints of Seaweb-enabled systems in terms of battery energy, deployability, size, and cost. - Implement point-to-point links at medium ranges between arbitrary Seaweb nodes (i.e., gateway buoys, vehicles, fixed sensors, and telesonar repeaters) and IOPv2-capable nodes. |
