Summary | The U. S. Marine Corps Reserve (USMCR) routinely augments both deployed and stationed active duty operations. The recruitment retention and training of reservists is of concern across the Department of Defense and is important to the efficacy of the active Marine components. The Inspectors Instructors (!&Is) play a pivotal role in creating and maintaining the operational capabilities of USMCR, I&I selection, training, and support is critical in assuring USMCR readiness and USMC effectiveness. We propose using a Human-Centered Design approach to create a pilot I&I capability in the Marine Corps. This capability will result in more effective I&I leadership and a new process for creating innovative solutions. |
