Summary MARFORRES requires a full range of analytical expertise, to include operations research; systems engineering; technical research and analysis; as well as business models, decision analysis, management and policy analysis to support its program goals. For FY15 MARFORRES focus areas that will structure the NPS program to support include, but are not limited to:
Manpower, Retention, and Training: USMC Expeditionary Force (EF-21) is shaping the future force. To advance this concept, M&S will be critical in examining the challenges, and potential energy solutions to employing and supporting future operations of the Marine Expeditionary Brigade, Nava l Force and Joint Force. M&S is required to help identify, quantify and analyze the risks and develop mitigation strategies as well as inform concept development, force planning and energy related investments. The use of distance learning as a major enabler for training requirements such as Inspector-Instructor training has completed Phase 1. NPS and MARFORRES will explore next steps to meet MARFORR ES's training vision, including conduct of a workshop.
