Summary | The objectives of this project are to understand the temporal and spatial variation of turbulent surface fluxes in relation to coastal flow dynamics and clouds using aircraft observations from AOSN and ASAP experiment. To improve surface flux parameterization in the marine atmospheric boundary layer using synthesized measurements from aircraft, buoys, and satellite with the focus of sea-state (waves and upwelling) dependent surface flux parameterization, and to use the results to understand and evaluate COAMPS for simulating the coastal marine boundary layer. |
