Summary | This research will advance concept development and provide a military assessment of PMW-770's Undersea Constellation concept. The Undersea Constellation concept leverages technical advances in underwater communications, unmanned systems, sensors, and power distribution networks to provide communication connectivity between U.S. undersea forces and with air forces, surface forces, and forces ashore. It is envisioned to enhance carrier strike group and expeditionary strike group operations; provide for greater intelligence and surveillance capabilities; give greater connectivity for maritime interdiction operations, anti-surface warfare, and anti-submarine warfare; support special operations and mine warfare; and better connect strategic forces. |
