Summary	This funding is provided to the Defense Analysis Department at the Naval Postgraduate School for field experimentation, operational support/SME reachback, and directed research to meet SOCOM-specific requirements. The Defense Analysis Department is uniquely qualified to provide this support due to its distinguished faculty and recognized expertise in irregular warfare. Home to three prominent research centers and access to a one-of-a-kind field experimentation program overseen directly by the Joint Staff, the Defense Analysis Department prides itself in its direct support to the warfighter. The Department is able to help solve issues of importance to the SOF community at all levels of classification.
