Back Simulation, Experimentation, and Analysis Support to The Salvo Analysis of Land-Based Anti-Ship Missiles Study
Fiscal Year | 2020 |
Division | Graduate School of Operational & Information Sciences |
Department | Operations Research |
Investigator(s) | Lucas, Thomas W. |
Sponsor | Marine Corps - Operations Analysis Division (Marine Corps) |
Summary |
The overall goal of this effort is to apply modeling, simulation, and design and analysis of computer experiments to help quantify the relative benefits and/or risks of various ASM employment options or scenarios, as well as to provide a basis for comparative analysis of options. A baseline simulation model will be developed using the latest version of MAST, v2.5. Execution of thousands of simulation runs, using customized experimental designs to explore numerous input factors, will be conducted on NPS or DoD-owned high performing computing assets. Analysis of output data will incorporate a variety of standard and modern techniques that span data visualization, data mining, and statistical analysis and metamodel fitting. |
