Summary | This short course will be delivered to members of the Lebanese Armed Forces in Beirut, Lebanon. It addresses the challenges of managing religious and ethnic conflict and extremism. This topic is critical to USCENTCOM's engagement with Lebanon given their strategic position in the region and their highly fractured and sectarian governmental structure - a reflection of the population. The addition of the large numbers of Syrian refugees has further unsettled the fragile agreements holding the Lebanese government together makes this course especially relevant. This Mobile Education Team (MET) course is EIMET certified, and IMET funded through the Naval Education Training Security Assistance Field Activity (NETSAFA) CCMR MASL P309462. |
