Summary |
The National Maritime Intelligence Integration Office (NMIO) has offered the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) the opportunity to co-host the 2017 annual two-day "Five Eyes" (FVEY) Maritime Domain Awareness Working Group and the MIFC-PAC annual two and a half-day FVEY Pacific Maritime Law Enforcement (MLE) Operations and Tactical Workshop. NPS will support, develop, host, facilitate, and access the two-day workshop, designed to bring together maritime-related thought leaders from government, academia, research & development, intelligence, and industry who can build upon the work of previous FVEY MDA and Maritime LE workshops to further advance the Global Maritime Community of Interest (GMCOI), the Maritime Science & Technology (S&T), community of interest, and the Maritime Law Enforcement (MLE) community of interest. This event will enhance S&T, MDA, and MLE awareness, and focus on the integration of ongoing research and technology in the public and private sectors among the GMCOI, S&T, MDA, and Maritime MLE stakeholders, which are critical to NMIO's mission. Stakeholders include representatives from government, intelligence, public, academic, and private sectors, as well as think tanks, and national laboratories. |
