Summary | PR&R’s in-residence courses are designed to provide participants with an understanding of the important concepts and challenges associated with governance and peacebuilding, conflict management, disaster management, and conflict recovery. PR&R's mission is the design and delivery of engaging cross-community workshops and in-residence courses in the wide domain of conflict prevention/management, disaster preparedness, and conflict recovery. These programs aim to grow U.S. Navy, U.S. Government more broadly, and partner nations' ability to address and respond to complex activities. In addition these programs are part of COCOM security cooperation efforts. Field Study Program (FSP) activities complement PR&R educational objectives by exposing international participants to specific facets of diversity and American life, including, but not limited to how the U.S. accomplishes effective and mutually beneficial relations and increased understanding with foreign countries in furtherance of the goals of international peace and security. |
