Summary	Warfighting assessment in support of current readiness and long term investment strategies has increased in importance since the advent of Sea Power 21. SPAWAR 5.1.1 is the System command's department charged with supporting assessment activities. Occasionally, subject matter expertise is required temporarily to ensure 5.1.1 productivity and quality.
