Summary Operational Characterization and Optimization Studies of Integrated Topside Statement of Work:
- Standardize and prioritize a number of operational situations covering both defensive and offensive operations to guide the operational optimization methods.
- Develop a network-style diagram to model the functional requirements flow during each operational situation.
- Implement a framework for assessing and prioritizing integrated topside antenna functionality and priorities based on a prioritization method and a hierarchical assessment.
- Develop a set of multi-objective optimization criteria for the problem.
- Perform forward and backward network passes to a sample system to establish critical paths and optimum solutions based on resource constraints and the optimization criteria.
The results will be utilized, to the maximum extent possible, in existing NPS student integrated projects, such as the TSSE (Total Ship Systems Engineering), MSSE (Master of Science in Systems Engineering), and SEA (Systems Engineering Analysis) programs.
