Summary | The Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) Center for Homeland Defense and Security (CHDS) annual budget request is based upon the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's (OHS) guidance to develop and conduct "cutting edge" graduate and executive education programs for senior homeland security local, state, tribal, and federal officials. The core CHDS programs consist of the homeland security Master's Degree Program, Executive Leaders Program (ELP), Outreach Program, Homeland Security Digital Library (HSDL), University and Agency Partnership Initiative (UAPI), Fellows, and Executive Education Mobile Education Team Seminars (METS). These Programs continue to evolve to build capacity for homeland security, and meet the increased demand for CHDS programs by Governors, Mayors and officials responsible for homeland security across the nation. |
