Summary The objective of the proposed research is to continue the development of the MEMS directional acoustic sensor for small UAV and gunshot detection and localization, optimize the sensors and sensor-assemblies for field operations, develop low noise readout and system interface electronics as well ruggedized packaging for field operation. The idea is to prepare stand-alone units for determination of direction of arrival (DoA) and distributed, networked units for localization of both gunshots and small UAVs.
