Summary |
In this study, we propose to continue with the past research. In particular, we propose to design and develop a prototype decision support tool that can be used to more easily uncover fuel savings opportunities associated with aircraft scheduling and post-flight operations. In addition, we plan to validate the results of the FY13 study through detailed data collection and analysis stemming from the implementation at NAS Lemoore. A more detailed discussion of each of the objectives will follow; however, in brief, this research has four objectives: - Design and develop a prototype decision support tool; - Investigate and quantify savings from implementation of FY13 study's recommendations; - Develop teaching material based on the results of this research project; and, - Prepare academic research article. |
