Summary | The objective of this work is to establish a spiral plan for transitioning generic algorithms and software for the implementation of real-time pseudospectral optimal control techniques, for real-time trajectory optimization for missile systems. Under the previous CRADA, in Phase I of this project, NPS provided Tempest with guidance on the implementation of real-time optimal control systems for several academic problems to illustrate the benefits of the new approach over existing feedback solutions. In the Phase I Option, the NPS team will assist Tempest in developing a plan for migrating the concepts developed in Phase I to the pseudospectral optimal guidance of missile systems of interest to the Navy. |
