Summary | Since 2007, Naval Postgraduate School's Modeling, Virtual Environments and Simulation (MOVES) Institute and the OSD's Department of Test and Evaluation have jointly developed and pursued a roadmap for investigating how the sciences of modeling, simulation and analysis can be applied and advanced to improve DOD cyber readiness. The roadmap and resultant research have led to significant advances of practical value to DOT&E and the modeling and simulation S&T community. While the roadmap has been updated considerably in response to changing operational and technical advances, the three central research thrust areas remain unchanged. The research is focused on: 1) improved training tools and measures 2) assessing training effectiveness and conducting causation analysis, and 3) assessing overall mission impacts and effectiveness. |
