Summary | This project will identify methods of evaluating Crewmember performance in operational environments. It focuses on methods by which sailors can be tested in field settings, e.g., aboard ships, to assist in the quantification of fatigue and sleep deprivation. Fatigue induced by unorthodox shiftwork practices continues to be a matter of concern for the US Navy and has been the topic of recent investigation by the Navy and US Congress. This study will allow us to continue filling the gaps in our understanding of Sailor performance in the US Navy. |
