Summary | The objective of this program is to develop an Integrated Tactical Platform Simulator (ITPS) for the Maritime HEL Beam Control Testbed. The proposed ITPS eliminates the limitation by providing platform motion disturbance. Two axis rotational stages and multiple linear shakers are used to create a disturbance motion, which is controlled in real time to match the prescribed set of disturbance spectra of the various maritime tactical platforms. The ITPS will provide new research and education capability by allowing us to identify and develop platform-specific ATP and beam control technologies for maritime HEL systems. It will also benefit our DoD students from various services by providing opportunities to work on the HEL system with their choice of tactical platforms. |
