Summary It is clear from the recent NPS strategic plan that distributed learning will be a critical element to the future of the Naval Postgraduate School--how it grows, who it educates, and its overall impact to the nation. In short, harnessing the current and future potential of distributed learning technologies is critical to the success of NPS as a university. The advanced distributed learning (ADL) program (http://www.adlnet.gov) has been a catalyst for the development of current interoperable technologies for enhancing the sharing of distributed learning resources. Education and training content relative to the overall curriculum of NPS is of great interest to this University.
