Summary | The major objective of the proposed research is to enhance Modeling and Simulation (M&S) capabilities for UNDEX tests so that reliable M&S can be utilized to replace or at least to minimize live fire tests during the design and development phase of ship. The major tasks of the proposed work are to develop a new temporal damping model which permits wither uniform spectral damping of frequency dependent spectral damping directly in the time domain, and to develop algorithms for implementation into explicit, implicit, or both time integration schemes. |
