Back Resources to Readiness: Modeling Resource Inputs to Simulate Ground Readiness Variability
Fiscal Year | 2021 |
Division | Graduate School of Operational & Information Sciences |
Department | Operations Research |
Investigator(s) | Koyak, Robert A. |
Sponsor | Headquarters Marine Corps, Installation and Logistics (Marine Corps) |
Summary | The Marine Corps does not currently possess an analytical framework to model fiscal resource inputs with expected ground readiness outputs. Without an evidenced-based decision support tool, the Marine Corps is not able to capture risk to force or risk to mission with respect to increasing or decreasing financial resource dollars aimed to support the readiness portfolio. The goal is to produce an OSD ADVANA-compliant model that provides an expected ground readiness levels (R-Level in Defense Readiness Reporting System ¿ Marine Corps) given inputs from authoritative data sources. |
