Summary | The objective of the Rapid Technical Collection Support (RTCS) program is to provide rapid support to urgent, sensitive operations for technical collection of intelligence across the Irregular Warfare (IW) mission area. The key objectives of this effort are as follows: operation, maintenance, logistics, and training of the current system; market and technology assessments of the current system; and technical advancement via system upgrades and modifications of the current system in order to provide the capability to detect, identify, characterize, locate, and track Targets of Interest (TOIs). These assessments and system upgrades and modifications will ensure that at the end of this effort the system is an aerostat based Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) and multi-spectral system that persistently collects intelligence data and generates targeting data, automatically slew-to-cue, and also includes a targeting sub system; the system includes an intelligence collection “tool box” for tactical Unattended Aerial System (UAS) such as the TigerShark that has integrated hyperspectral and multi-spectral sensors, SIGINT, Communications Intelligence (COMINT) and IO (Information Operations) payloads; and system includes multi-tier Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) sub-systems which remotely and covertly deliver tags and electronic attack payloads. |
