Summary | The RoboDojo is a Naval Postgraduate School grassroots innovation and prototyping laboratory where students may learn about rapid fabrication with lasers, mills, 3D printers, embedded computing, basic electronics, robotic software programming, and more. The RoboDojo offers hands-on workshops, equipment, competitions, with space for students, faculty, and staff to collaborate across academic departments. The RoboDojo is used to support theses, education, field experimentation, and applied research with high visibility across the Navy and the DoD. Teaching mid-career Navy and Marine officers how to quickly fabricate their own parts will increase the likelihood that they will use these skills and equipment and will successfully persevere in resource-constrained environments. Funding will enable expansion of our capabilities in additive and subtractive manufacturing. |
