Summary | This proposed research and statement of work (SOW) seeks to develop a basic framework for behavioral set-based design that can be done concurrently with physical set-based design. Experience shows that current modeling efforts grossly under-produce use case scenarios in comparison to scenarios that could and do actually occur. What is needed is a comprehensive set of SOS use case scenario variants to serve as a foundation for follow-on set-based design activities, so that a full range of possible system behaviors can be mapped out, planned for, prioritized, mitigated using well-accepted risk management techniques, and used to inform selection of physical configurations that are optimal for the generated set of SOS scenarios, rather than just a few SOS scenarios that were hand-picked for lack of a more comprehensive scenario set. |
