Fiscal Year | 2015 |
Division | School of International Graduate Studies |
Department | National Security Affairs |
Investigator(s) | Moltz, James C. |
Sponsor | Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DoD) |
Summary |
This project supports Navy and DOD interests in countering weapons of mass destruction and mass effects (to include nuclear, chemical and biological weapons as well as other high-casualty or high-disruption weapons that might have strategic effects). NPS executes and supports future studies and strategic dialogues that identify and improve understanding of long-term trends that may be absent or not adequately analyzed in the current literature. Project results are briefed widely and further disseminated to government officials and experts. Funds for the Project on Advanced Systems and Concepts for Countering WMD (PASCC) are allocated to three budgets: 1) PASCC operations and management; 2) in-house and other non-grants research; and 3) grant research awards. These budgets differ in their funding authorities and indirect rates. |
