Summary	The scope of the program is to provide summer internship opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students in the field of acquisition, tracking, and pointing for High Energy Laser (HEL) systems, beam control, adaptive optics, and free-electron lasers. The Naval Postgraduate School has developed excellent research programs in these areas in the past and several unique testbeds have been developed for these research programs. The focus of this program is to provide hands-on experience on HEL lasers and beam control technologies, and educate college students in this important area.
