Summary | This project will examine and analyze the interaction of existing and emerging technologies with multi-domain deterrence and war fighting missions. Current plans calls for multi-domain operations across many different platforms and war-fighting capabilities. The domains of war are: land, sea, air, cyber, and space. The Navy will apply numerous platforms across these warfare domains. Operations across these domains have implications for the structure and function of deterrence, with the idea that action in one warfare domain can lead to a response in another warfare domain. This is an immensely complicated phenomenon and is a departure from earlier conceptions of deterrence and war built on conventional and nuclear weapons. |
