Summary | The Naval Postgraduate School, in conjunction with RDA CHENG (NMSO), has established a degree program, the Modeling, Virtual Environments and Simulation (MOVES) curriculum and a research institute, the MOVES Institute. The degree program qualifies officers to fill 6202-P coded billets. The degree program integrates principles from computer science and operations analysis, with the goal of educating officers to gain an understanding of the mathematics, technology, methodology, and management issues behind modern modeling and simulation (M&S) systems. The mission of the MOVES Institute is to enhance the operational effectiveness of our joint forces and our allies by providing superior training and analysis products, education, and exemplary research In the field of modeling and simulation. The MOVES Institute works in tandem with the MOVES degree program to provide military relevant thesis topics for research. |
