Summary | Knowledge management (KM) and engineering (KE) are required for organization knowledge to flow rapidly, reliably and energetically. The OPNAV N1 organization remains in the beginning stages of establishing a KM program. This project seeks to leverage results of research focused on improving KM in the Naval Recruiting Command and to develop a plan to implement KM at N1. Armed with state of the art knowledge visualization, analysis and measurement methods, in conjunction with a set of best KM tools and techniques from Industry, the project will: examine the existing knowledge and information ecosystems to understand them better; develop a roadmap for implementing KM at N1 Headquarters; and outline at least two pilot projects for rapid implementation and demonstration of results. |
