Summary The ASW Certificate (274) consists of a four course sequence covering the basic principles underlying the use of sonar systems in anti-submarine warfare. Courses are included from four key disciplines: physics, oceanography, signal processing, and operations research. The objective of this sequence is to provide our civilian and active-duty workforce with a flexible, self-paced learning experience which extends a general technical undergraduate education to include the essential concepts, equations, and skill sets needed to understand, design, and use ASW systems.
