Back CMIS2 FY19 Research Support
Fiscal Year | 2019 |
Division | Graduate School of Engineering & Applied Science |
Department | Electrical & Computer Engineering |
Investigator(s) | Scrofani, James W. |
Sponsor | Department of Defense Space (DoD) |
Summary |
CMIS seeks to enhance its breadth and depth of expertise in the area of data engineering and prediction modeling. Fundamental research is needed to establish the state-of-the-art and a baseline of use, applications, and techniques in prediction modeling relative to streaming sensor data. To achieve this objective, CMIS staff will prepare a study that is informed by work which is expected to be conducted by researchers from U.S. colleges and universities under a grant or contract. This research will advance the state-of-the-art in data systems engineering, data science, data modeling, and data analytics as it relates to Multi-INT automated sensemaking and enable CMIS to expand its research capabilities. ***The first funding already received on campus is incremental funding ($143,000.00) and is necessary to fund an existing grant. The remaining $350,000.00 will be sent to support additional research when funding already on campus (REM2W and REMAY) expires [4/30/2019]. |
