Summary |
The Naval Postgraduate School will coordinate, develop and deliver academic content, applicable frameworks and practical panels for the following Mobile Education Team (MET) course in Jordan, titled Intelligence and Strategic Decision-Making (MASL: P309149), 15-26 September 2019 The MET is intended for nations that are interested in developing capabilities to secure their nation from principal threats, while also maintaining an accountable and transparent security sector (military, police, and intelligence agencies). The underlying theme of the courses is the need for military officers and civilian officials to develop habits of cooperation within an interagency decision-making process. Participants will examine designs and plans for transforming their military to maintain competitive advantage utilizing a capabilities-based defense planning Methodology. The Seminar relies heavily on interaction among participants during classroom exercises. Naval Postgraduate School faculty will provide presentations on Regional and Global Security Trends, Strategic Decision Making, Role of Intelligence, Types of Intelligence, The Intelligence Process, Intelligence Transformation, Roles and Missions of the Security Forces, Media and Strategic Communications, Leaks, Intelligence and Policymakers, as well as exercises. The course was coordinated with the U.S. combatant commands and U.S. Embassy country teams through the SCETWG process. The MASL numbers were established by the United States Navy. Approximately 40 international officers and civilian officials will attend each course. The content will be further developed after delivery based on participant feedback for future course iterations. |
