Students in the METOC curriculum can compete for a wide variety of awards. These include:

  • Degree with Distinction – awarded to top 10% of graduates
     
  • Outstanding Thesis Award 
     
  • Oceanographer of the Navy Award for Outstanding Academic Performance in Meteorology and Oceanography
     
  • Monterey Council Navy League Award for Highest Academic Achievement
     
  • Naval Postgraduate School Outstanding Academic Achievement Award for International Students
     
  • Naval Postgraduate School Superior Service Award
     
  • Naval Postgraduate School Outstanding Academic Achievement Award for Department of Defense Students
