Overview

Peter D. Bertelsen has been a lecturer of management in the Defense Resources Management Institute (DRMI) at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California since 2013. Prior to joining academia, he spent more than 18 years in program management roles. Most recently, he served as the interim executive director and program director for a regional economic development corporation in southwestern Montana, working with federal, state, and local governments in managing a multi-million-dollar community development revolving loan fund and a business consulting program focused on assisting high growth potential organizations with planning and strategy development. He earned a B.A. in history from the University of California, San Diego and an M.B.A. in international management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
