Overview
Chad Bollmann is a Commander in the U.S. Navy and Permanent Military Professor in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) in Monterey, CA.
He received a B.S. in Ocean Engineering from the United States Naval Academy in 1996, M.S. degrees in Nuclear Engineering and Technology & Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1998, and his Ph.D in Electrical Engineering from NPS in 2018. Prior to his selection as a Permanent Military Professor, he served from 1998 to 2012 as a submarine warfare officer aboard Los Angeles and Ohio-class nuclear submarines. His research interests include computer network traffic modeling and anomaly detection, 5G and wireless communications security, and computer hardware and software reverse engineering.
