Resident Tuition

Mission-funded seats are available to eligible active duty USN and USMC members.

All other students must be sponsored by their command/agency before matriculation and acceptance of funds can take place.  Please contact sponsorededucation@nps.edu if you have any further questions.

  • The resident tuition rate for FY19 is $5,750.00 per student per quarter, to be paid in advance of the quarter of student attendance. 
  • Payments will not be accepted from individual students.
  • NPS does NOT accept money from tuition assistance, the Montgomery GI bill, the Post 9/11 GI bill, and VA Benefits.
  • NPS does NOT accept credit card payments at this time.

Distance Learning Tuition

General Tuition Information

 

When is tuition due?

  • Tuition is due no later than the first day of class of each quarter. 

 

Is tuition refundable if I drop a class or withdrawl from the program?

  • Tuition is NOT  refundable once classes begin.  However, if you withdrawl from the program before the start of the first day of classes, tuition is refundable.

 

How is tuition paid?

Tuition is accepted thru transfer of funds to NPS via the following documents:

  • U.S. Navy Activities: NAVCOMPT Form 2276A or 2275
  • Other DoD Agencies: MIPR or DD-448
  • Non DoD Agencies: Interagency Agreements (IAA) and Financial Standardization forms (FMS) 7600A (agreement) and 7600B (purchase order).

 

I am a DL applicant who is not mission funded. Who should I list as my Tuition POC on my application?

  • Your Tuition POC should be from your command's finance office who can commit funds to cover the full tuition costs.
