NPS Research Department Bids Farewell to Senior Analyst
By MC2 Michael Ehrlich
Senior Sponsor Programs Financial Analyst Susan Netzorg was awarded the Navy Meritorious Service Award by Dean of Research Jeffery Paduan for her exemplary performance, and her outstanding achievements and contributions in a wide range of positions during her 27 years and nine months of service to NPS.
“Being here to help educate and train over the years has been very rewarding,” said Netzorg, “I would recommend to new staff, Hang in there. NPS is really complicated and the word may be overused, but it is very unique.”
Many of her colleagues from the NPS research office offered her bittersweet farewells, as she has become a pillar of the team, they know her shoes will not be easy to fill.
“Her work ethic coupled with her intelligence made her an indispensable administrative officer,” said NPS President retired Vice Adm. Ronald A. Route. "Her focus on customer service in all of her roles has become a trademark of her approach to government service.”
Paduan agreed and elaborated on the sentiments of the NPS President, having personally worked with her for many years.
“Sue has been incredibly helpful and essential to the department,” said Paduan. “There is always a person that you can't function without. The government works because of the character of people like Sue.”
