If you need to ship a personal vehicle from Monterey to Quantico, one carrier that has been used by Marines in the past is Auto Transport. They are licensed and insured. If you combine efforts at graduation time and fill the carrier with 10 cars, it will cost $550 to ship each vehicle. The carrier typically arrives at Quantico no later than 8 or 9 days later, but it can be as early as 5 or 6. You could collectively decide on a target arrival time. Non-government commercial carrier shipments of POVs to Marine Corps Base Quantico (MCBQ) require 30 days advance notification and approval from MCBQ officials. Shipments not coordinated and approved in advance will be denied access to the base. Base officials will determine the best location to off-load the vehicles based on the EDA, number of POVs in the shipment, and other considerations. The base will not sign for or be responsible/liable for the POVs. The graduating class coordinator of the POV shipment must arrive at MCBQ ahead of the shipment and be physically present to receipt for the vehicles. POVs must be picked up by owners ASAP and not to exceed 30 days.
