Any contract in which the contractor or contractor employee must have access to classified information during contract performance will require approval by the NPS Security Office. A contract may be a classified contract even though the contract document itself is unclassified.
Additional time for processing a classified contract should be built into the requestor’s timeline.
The requestor must complete a Form DD 254 Contract Security Classification Specification (PDF) and include with the request package. The RSPO contracts staff will work with the Security Office to secure approval.
