Rebekah Dietz

Research Associate

Rebekah Dietz is a Research Associate for the Naval Postgraduate School's Program for Culture and Conflict Studies. Prior to joining CCS, she was with the Center for Contemporary Conflict. Her research has focused on South Asian security issues, WMD proliferation and interdiction, and illicit transnational networks. She has planned and executed multiple government-sponsored research projects, including the ongoing U.S.-Pakistan track-two strategic dialogue, nuclear learning in South Asia, U.S.-Pakistan counterterrorism cooperation, and a curriculum for strategic interdiction. She has been the lead author on several conference reports for sponsors and delivered numerous after-action briefings to U.S. government agencies.

Ms. Dietz is simultaneously pursuing a Master's degree in Security Studies with a concentration in Defense Decision-Making and Planning from the NPS School of International Graduate Studies. Her thesis focuses on illicit networks, examining the organizational structures of proliferation, terrorist and narcotics networks and the possible nexus between them. Ms. Dietz completed her undergraduate education at the University of California, Los Angeles Honors College in June 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science/International Relations and a minor in Public Policy.
