Resident - Master's Degree Programs As the leading graduate level business school offering degree programs uniquely tailored to the Defense community, the Graduate School of Business & Public Policy (GSBPP) provides high quality management education to a new generation of military and civilian leadership. Non-Resident - Master's Degree Programs The GSBPP also brings graduate level business & public policy education to professionals within the DoD and other Federal agencies through distributed learning. Resident & Non-Resident - Professional Development Programs Short specialized courses, like the Practical Comptrollership Course, Cost Management Certificate Course and courses offered in the Human Resources Center of Excellence provide opportunities for continuing education and in some cases graduate credits or certifications. Research Engaging in exploratory and applied research across disciplines, GSBPP can address complicated defense issues from a number of perspectives, while integrating defense applications into familiar business disciplines. | The integrated civilian and military faculty of GSBPP have a clear focus on defense organizations, system applications and instruction supported by extensive defense-oriented research. GSBPP News On August 23, 2011, Secretary of Defense Leon E. Panetta visited the Naval Postgraduate School and delivered a Secretary of the Navy Guest Lecture to NPS students, faculty, and staff. General James Cartwright, USMC, Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (VCJCS) addressed GSBPP students. Two GSBPP faculty members traveled to Iraq to teach procurement & policy to officials from the Iraqi and Kurdish Ministry of Interior and Kurdish Ministry of Peshmerga Affairs.
