James H. Morris, Professor
James H. Morris, Professor, received a BS (1971) and MS/MBA (1973) from San Diego State University, and a Ph.D. (1976) from University of Oregon. From 1977-1979 he was Assistant Professor and Research Associate at the University of Alabama, and on faculty at Santa Clara University from 1979-1982. He has participated in the California Army National Guard as psychologist in hospital as well as staff officer assignments from 1979 to 1993, and retired from the Army Reserve in 1996. He is a member of American Psychological Association and the Academy of Management. Some of the journals in which his research has been published are: Psychological Bulletin, Journal of Vocational Behavior, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Psychology, Armed Forces and Society, and Academy of Management Journal. He joined the Institute in May 1982.
Research Interests: Trust and betrayal in work organizations. Role Making.
