  Kathleen Bailey, Research Associate

Kathleen BaileyKathleen Bailey, Research Associate, received her Bachelor of Arts in English and Environmental Studies from Alfred University in 2001 and her Master of Arts in International Environmental Policy from the Monterey Institute of International Studies (an affiliate of Middlebury College) in 2005. She has a published co-authored article in The DISAM Journal of International Security Assistance Management. She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in National Security Affairs ­ Western Hemisphere Regional Studies at the Naval Postgraduate School. Her thesis focuses on whether Chinese military assistance to and public investment in Latin America has yielded regional political influence. Her research interests include environmental security, economic reform and national security (both at the global and the U.S. level). Ms. Bailey joined Defense Resources Management Institute in June 2004, receiving a promotion to Research Associate in January 2006.
