Admissions Packet Completion Information

All applicants interested in any of the CED3 supported programs are required to submit a completed application packet to the Admissions Department. Below are the required items for this packet. If you need additional information or have questions, please contact the NPS Admissions Department at grad-ed@nps.edu.

To apply for a program, please complete the Student Application Form and submit.


Transcript Submission Information

In order to be fully considered for a seat in the program, you are required to submit Sealed Official transcripts of ALL undergraduate and previous graduate work to date (degree & non-degree) to the NPS Admissions office at the following address:

Another resource is to have your official transcripts electronically delivered. The following resources offer electronic transcript delivery, as well as receipt confirmation. Please check to see if your academic institution is a participating member.

Command Endorsement Submission Information

All applicants are required to submit a signed command endorsement immediately following the submission of your application. The template for this endorsement can be found below. There are 2 options to submit this endorsement to the NPS Admissions Department:

  1. You can have it printed, signed and faxed to: 831-656-2891
  2. You can have it printed, signed, scanned and emailed to grad-ed@nps.edu

Service Obligations

Students participating in a program at The Naval Postgraduate School may incur service and/or employment obligations. It is the students responsibility to check with their own parent command/organization to determine whether education from NPS incurs service and/or employment obligations.
